The photographer behind White Peak
ABOUT ME
White Peak is the wedding side of my work: joyful, observant photography for couples who care more about being present than performing for a camera.
A calm person in the middle of a lively day
Mountain weddings can be beautifully unpredictable. A lift pauses, the weather changes, someone misses the train and the dance floor starts earlier than planned. I like that. I pay attention, adapt quickly and keep the photography feeling easy while the day finds its own shape.
I’m based in Chamonix and know what it takes to work comfortably in the mountains, but local knowledge is only useful when it serves the people in front of the camera. My real focus is how your friends laugh together, who reaches for whose hand, and the expressions that disappear in a second if nobody is watching.
What it feels like to work with me
I will not turn your wedding into a day-long photoshoot. Beforehand, we make a clear plan and talk honestly about what matters. On the day, I give direction when it helps, organise groups without making them an ordeal and disappear into the background for the rest.
The result is a gallery with movement, humour, landscape and feeling: polished enough to live on your walls, honest enough to bring back the people you shared it with.
You won’t find me wearing a stiff suit or spending the day trying to blend in with your guests. I’ve spent most of my life avoiding jobs that make me wear a shirt, and I’m planning on continuing that theme.
I dress simply and discreetly so I can move freely, carry equipment, climb mountains, kneel in the mud and concentrate completely on making photographs. Being comfortable helps me work harder, stay present for longer and create the best photos possible.
I’ll always arrive looking clean, considered and appropriate for your wedding, but dressed to be comfortable and do the job properly. If your celebration has a particularly high end dress code, just let me know. I’m always happy to discuss it with you.
Observant
I look for relationships and small gestures as carefully as the headline moments.
Unflappable
Changing weather and moving plans are part of mountain life; calm decisions keep things enjoyable.
EFFICIENT
Good photographs matter, but so does protecting your time with the people who travelled to be there.
Why White Peak?
I created White Peak to give weddings, elopements, engagements and proposals a home of their own. It is intentionally different from my broader commercial and outdoor photography work: more personal, more story-led and built around the rhythm of a celebration.
The mountains are a remarkable setting, but they are never the main character. You are.
